The course prepares participants for success in their work with School-Age Children in an out-of-school environment. You will explore: School-Age Growth and Development, Behavior Management, Defining a Quality School-Age Environment, Effective Programming, and the School-Age Professional. The course follows the DCF Regulations and meets the additional 10 hours of training required to work with children ages 5-12 in childcare programs.
